The Lord's Prayer in Polari

Polari is a cant from the United Kingdom, used primarily by queer people prior to the 1960s, when it was illegal to be gay and jail was one of the lighter possible sentences. In the Anglophone West, we are fortunate that the circumstances which made Polari necessary are no longer with us. Yet, as queer people, it remains imperative that we maintain our traditions. In this I was inspired by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and their translation of the Holy Bible into Polari. Perhaps one day I'll translate the entirety of the Roman Order into Polari myself, and give us the Everyday Drag of the Roman Palaver. But for now, without further ado, the Duchess's Meshigener Muttering:
