¶I'm Ruby. I write about spirituality, culture, media, and politics from an independent Catholic, Remodernist, and Distributist perspective. I don't have any single bailiwick beyond the interrogation of systems and the question of what makes humans unique, as a species and as persons. And I don't want to overpromise, so let me be clear: this is mostly a receptacle for my musings on everything from Rocky Horror to Simon Peter.

¶You'll find reflections on scripture and sacred tradition, essays on politics and philosophy, and blog posts about my life. God and life willing, I plan to publish around once a week. Whether you're a fellow traveler on the path or just curious, please subscribe! All replies to the newsletter land in my inbox and I try my best to read every one. ¶Outside of writing, I'm active in two churches: an inclusive and latitudinarian Independent Catholic parish, and a congregation dual-covenanted with the United Church of Christ and the Disciples of Christ. I'm also a proud member of the Rocky Horror Picture Show shadowcasting community. My saints are Dorothy Day and Joan of Arc. My fandoms include Star Wars (all four canons, each is ontologically distinct and I will not be taking questions), Dune, and Fallout. I live with my family and our seven cats.
